Founder and CEO of Sunday Ivy
Chaymae Samir is a serial entrepreneur, columnist, and international speaker. She sold two businesses before moving to the UK and launching Sunday Ivy, a trend-led innovative consumer company targeting Gen Z and younger millennials. In less than 6 months, the brand sent out 20,000 orders and is in the process of being stocked with 600 major retailers across Europe and the Middle East. Chaymae is also the co-founder of Rowith, a fitness app providing audio-guided workouts by Olympians and professional athletes. The app has been supported by NatWest through the “Back Her Business” grant and has successfully raised funding through Crowdfunder.
Chaymae has spoken to and advised Fortune 500 and heads of states on matters related to entrepreneurship, marketing, and millennials in the MENA region. She was named by Forbes as one of the leading women behind brands in MENA and one of the 50 most powerful women in business in Morocco. Her previous work experiences include working with the Ministry of Finance in Malaysia, the United Nations in Switzerland, the Ministry of Energy in Morocco and The Institute of Economic Affairs in the UK. She’s also worked for an advisory group based in London where she was involved with consulting businesses, non-profits, governmental, and academic organizations internationally, on all matters related to governance and reputational risk.
Other experiences include sourcing deals in emerging markets for a hedge fund in New York and overseeing the Middle Eastern sales team of one of the biggest food companies in the world from their Brazilian office. Her work and writing have been featured in several leading business publications including Forbes, Reuters, Arabian Business and The World Economic Forum.
