Mali Republic of Mali Minister of Digital Economy and Communication Mr Arouna Modibo Touré holds an Executive Master in Development Management and Policy from Sciences-Po Paris, and is graduated from the ESCP Europe and from the Quebec National School of Public Administration in Canada. With a degree in Finance, Mr Arouna Modibo Touré starts his career as Head Accountant of the Malian subsidiary firm of the Italian company Impregilo, prior to working at ABB SAE. He works also as Mission Director in accounting firms such as Nicolas Kouvahey and Touré&Associés. Then, he devotes his skills to the Malian administration, first at the Agence Nationale d’Investissement des Collectivités Territoriales (ANICT) as Head Accountant then Administrative and Financial Director, before being appointed General Director of the Mali Agence Nationale pour l’Emploi. He becomes after CEO of the Mali Société du Pari Mutuel Urbain, that he left to become Minister of Digital Economy and Communication. As a technology enthusiast, Mr Touré is convinced that digital is a major accelerator for development in Africa and notably in Mali. He aims to democratize the access to ICTs, to digitalize the State public services and to develop businesses in the digital ecosystem.
