It is organized by Euroméditerranée, a French urban development agency, with the support of Emerging Valley 2020. Euroméditerranée, an experimenting field for young African startupers developing innovative solutions for smart cities.
Whether it has been through the development of a platform for processing and recycling polluted soils, the invention of thalasso-thermal loops, or its mission to invent the city of tomorrow, the Public Urban Development Agency Euroméditerranée has always had innovation close to its heart.
Africa is now a major emergent market where Tech innovation and creative start-ups simulate each other constantly.
This is why EPAEM created in 2018 a prize rewarding international entrepreneurs. In 2019 Euroméditerranée decided to develop an African edition because of the very special historical ties between Africa and Aix-Marseille Provence Metropolis. The success and quality of the competition has not dried up over the course of the years as Med’Innovant has been pleased to receive more than 180 applications coming from all across Africa. Since then, three talented and inspiring start-ups based in Chad, Cameroon and Senegal have been rewarded.
