Lamiaa is Senior Legal Counsel at the pan African investment fund Amethis and PhD Candidate in Law at the University of Paris Dauphine. Prior to joining Amethis, Lamiaa worked as a lawyer in the M&A department of several French and international law firms. Lamiaa is specialized in legal and tax advisory services regarding investment operations in Africa. She has acquired expertise in M&A operations before to focus on the private equity sector, namely in Africa.
Lamiaa holds a Master of Management degree from SKEMA Business School and a Master in tax law from the University of Paris Dauphine. She is currently conducting Phd researches about the legal and tax framework of venture capital in French-speaking Africa. She wrote several papers regarding corporate and finance law. Lamiaa is the president of AJAM Network, an international network of legal Professionals in business law for Morocco and member of the Global Shaper Community (affiliated to the World Economic Forum).
Passionate by the entrepreneurship and innovation issues in Africa, Lamiaa founded an initiative called Legal’Up that aims to provide pro-bono legal advices to startups by law students mentored by legal professionals. mentorship The first edition has been launched last February in Morocco and now the pan African scale is ongoing implementation.
